Remaining Nominees For This Fall's CMA Awards To Be Revealed Today
The list of nominees for the 44th annual Country Music Association Awards will soon be complete. Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley are slated to appear on ABC's "Good Morning America" this morning to unveil the finalists in the remaining five categories -- including the event's top prize of Entertainer of the Year. They'll make the announcement in the show's final half hour, which starts at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. Lambert is the top nominee for the event so far. She has five nominations spread across three categories. Her hits "White Liar" and "The House That Built Me" face off against each other for Single, Song, and Music Video of the Year. However, since Lambert didn't write "The House That Built Me," she's not a nominee for Song of the Year with that track. But Lambert could add to her nomination total this morning. Other top contenders following Tuesday's nomination announcement include Lady Antebellum with four bids including Vocal Group of the Year. The Zac Brown Band has three chances to win, while country newcomer Easton Corbin is in the running in two categories. Brooks & Dunn, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Chris Young, Blake Shelton, and Trace Adkins are some of the other stars who earned nominations on Tuesday. The 44th annual CMA Awards will be presented in a ceremony in Nashville and air on ABC on November 10th.
