Smokey Robinson To Deliver SXSW Keynote Today
Smokey Robinson is delivering the keynote address today at the 2010 South By Southwest Music Conference. The Motown legend's address is one of the marquee events at the 24th annual industry event and trade show in Austin, Texas. Following Robinson's speech, he'll make a quick stop at Flatstock 24 -- also in Austin. "Flatstock" is a poster exhibit produced by the American Poster Institute and South By Southwest. At today's event, Robinson will sign copies of a limited edition print featuring his image. Artist Shepard Fairey -- who created the Robinson art for the poster -- will also be on hand to autograph prints. Fairey ascended to fame during the 2008 U.S. Presidential campaign when he created the iconic "Hope" poster featuring Barack Obama.
