Cherie Currie Updated Memoir Due Tomorrow
Cherie Currie is releasing an updated version of her memoir. NYPress.com reports that the former Runaways frontwoman is reiussing "Neon Angel: A Memoir of a Runaway" tomorrow. That coincides with the theatrical debut of "The Runaways," a biopic about the all-girl band behind the hit "Cherry Bomb." Dakota Fanning will play a young Currie. Also starring in the film is "Twilight's" Kristen Stewart who plays Joan Jett. Currie says she welcomes the attention that "The Runaways" will give her former band. The 50-year-old said, quote, "'I'm just glad that The Runaways are finally being recognized for what we went through and what we tried to accomplish. I really don't regret anything except for leaving the band and not keeping in touch with Joan." "The Runaways" opens in limited release tomorrow. |
