Dolly Parton Thanks Fans For Attending Her Store's Grand Opening
Dolly Parton is sharing her appreciation to everyone who turned out for Friday's grand opening of her new store Trinkets & Treasures. A post on the singer's website calls the event "a big success," noting that while it was a rainy day the weather cooperated. The sun came out just as Parton was set to cut the pink ribbon to officially launch the retail outlet. Photos from the ceremony are up for viewing online at www.flickr.com/photos/dollyparton/. Fans are also welcome to post snapshots they took at the event. In addition, Parton is promising to post a video showing the behind-the-scenes activities surrounding her big day.
Dolly Parton's Trinkets & Treasures, which first opened its doors in November, is a one-stop shop for all things Dolly. The decor has a "Coat of Many Colors" theme, with a multi-colored interior and exterior incorporating blue, green, yellow, pink, red, and purple. Parton's music is prominent. There's a designated listening station, while her songs and videos provide the store's ambience. Shelves are stocked with Dolly-related items, including clothing, hats, jewelry, and merchandise for kids.
