Darius Rucker Planning St. Jude Benefit Concert
Darius Rucker is using his talents to help kids in need. The singer has announced the "Darius and Friends" concert, which will raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Rucker says he welcomes the opportunity to support the facility, noting, quote, "This was a chance for my friends and I to do something during CMA Music Fest week that is for the fans while drawing attention to St. Jude and their incredible efforts." He also intends to put on an entertaining show, adding, quote, "It's going to be a great night of music and stories." The "friends" joining Rucker for the benefit will be announced in the coming weeks. "Darius and Friends" is set for Nashville's Wildhorse Saloon on June 7th. Tickets for the concert, which will take place three days before the official start of the 2010 CMA Music Fest, go on sale this Saturday. |
