Adam Yauch Of The Beastie Boys: "I Feel Better"
Beastie Boy Adam Yauch says he feels "better" now. Speaking at the Independent Film Spirit Awards last Friday in Los Angeles, "Entertainment Weekly" says the rapper provided an update on his cancer battle. Yauch, who was diagnosed with disease last September, said he felt like he was "finally" getting his energy back. Yauch's diagnosis caused a delay in the Beastie Boys' album, "Hot Sauce Committee Part 1." He said, quote, "It was really disappointing to have to hold the record and postpone the tour, but doctor's orders. We may or may not [release the album] depending on how my health is come September." Yauch was at the Spirit Awards in support of two films associated with his company, Oscilloscope Laboratories. One of the films is "The Messenger," for which actor Woody Harrelson picked up a Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male. Yauch's company is also attached to the film "Treeless Mountain."
