Death Cab On Leto's Acting
Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Gibbard and Nick Harmer have some advice for 30 Seconds To Mars singer Jared Leto - stick to acting! Harmer tells "The Big Takeover," quote, "Not to throw anyone under the bus, but Jared Leto and his band 30 Seconds To Mars - he's acting the part." Gibbard adds, "He's a professional actor in music, so there's no way to feel any sincerity about his position as a musician. Because he makes a living playing characters - so why wouldn't he be able to take a step forward? Then you're also acting what you think a rock star should act like." Harmer continues, quote, "I believe in the intangible quality thing. I think Jack White - he's savvy as all get out with the media. But he also just has this magic around him. Conor Oberst is another one for me. They're able to kind of be one inside of the other." |
