Ring in the holiday season as The Santaland Diaries returns to PlayhouseSquare’s 14th Street Theatre November 25 through December 17. Based on an essay by best-selling author David Sedaris, The Santaland Diaries introduces audiences to an out of work actor taking a job as Crumpet, a Macy’s Christmas elf, in 1989. Now in his mid-fifties, Crumpet’s hilarious recount of the trials and tribulations that the Holidays bring is sure to bring a smile to even the grouchiest face! After The Santaland Diaries, join The Loush Sisters, whose outrageous behavior promises to make the yuletide gay.
The Santaland Diaries has become a holiday tradition in Northeast Ohio. The show has been produced and presented by Cleveland Public Theatre since 2005. In an ongoing partnership between PlayhouseSquare and Cleveland Public Theatre, the production returns to PlayhouseSquare’s 14th Street Theatre for the second year.
